Maggie Grace is an American actress who was born Margaret Grace Denig in 1983. Her best-known roles include Shannon Rutherford, a character on ABC's Lost series as well as Kim Mills from the Taken trilogy. Maggie Grace is originally from Worthington located in Ohio dropped out high school in order to move to Los Angeles after her divorced parents. Even though she had financial difficulties, her 2001 debut was acting as Rachel's Room's main character. Her portrayal as Martha Moxley, a 15-year-old victim of murder in the TV film Murder In Greenwich in 2002, earned her nominations for a Young Artist Award. Grace Rutherford, the role she played in Lost between 2004 and 2005, was selected for an Screen Actors Guild Award. She has appeared on Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club both in 2007 and in Taken with Liam Neeson in 2008 as Kim Mills. She reprised her role as Kim Mills in Taken 2 (2011) and Taken 3 (2013).She also played Alice in Malice in Wonderland, a contemporary adaptation of Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace reprised Shannon's role in Lost for two more episodes, which included the series final. The actress was featured in 2013's sixth season of Californication. She portrays Faith, who is an admirer and muse to the celebrities. Hank Moody as played by David Duchovny falls in love with her. She's the child of Stephen Gyllenhaal (director) and Naomi Achs (producer), she is a bit younger in age than Jake Gyllenhaal. In her teens her career began as a small part-time actress for her father and appeared in Donnie Darko along with her twin brother. She then appeared on Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (both 2002) and Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal has received critical praise for her lead performances in Secretary (2002 an erotic romantic drama) and Sherrybaby (606), both of which garnered her Golden Globe Award nods. The year 2006 was the time she appeared in several commercially successful movies including World Trade Center. However it was her performance in the role of Rachel Dawes that brought her greater attention for her performance in The Dark Knight (2008). The year 2009 was the time she received a nomination as the best supporting Actress at the Academy Awards for her role of a single mother on screen in Crazy Heart. The roles she played in subsequent films include Nanny McPhee and The Big Bang and Hysteria. Her other roles includes Secret Service agents in White House Down (2013, action thriller), actors in Frank (2014 and drama The Kindergarten Teacher 2018) as well as The kindergarten teacher.
